Meet the Staff

Montene Trimback

Owner

From her earliest memories, horses have been at the center of Montene’s life. Drawn to them with a natural passion and curiosity, she spent her childhood seeking every opportunity possible to learn, grow, and immerse herself in the equestrian world.

Over the years, that passion evolved into a diverse and well-rounded background spanning multiple disciplines and areas of horsemanship. Her experience includes training under exceptional English riding instructors, gentling mustangs, starting and breaking colts, galloping racehorses, working on a cutting horse ranch, western pleasure riding, extreme trail work, barrel racing, and training field trial horses, among many other pursuits.

Along Montene’s journey, she also had the privilege of working alongside several highly respected veterinarians, gaining invaluable hands-on knowledge in horse health, behavior, care, and management that continues to shape her approach today. In addition, she was trained in foal delivery and imprinting, further deepening her understanding of equine development and connection from the very beginning of a horse’s life.

While her experience and knowledge have grown over the years, Montene’s passion for horses remains exactly the same. Today, she is dedicated to helping others build confidence, knowledge, and meaningful partnerships with horses through safe, correct, and compassionate horsemanship.

Taylor Folmar

Assistant Manager/Trainer

Taylor is 25 years old and from Phenix City, Alabama, where she was born and raised with a lifelong love for animals. From a young age, she was known for bringing home strays and convincing her family to give them a place to stay—a passion that has only grown stronger over the years. Today, she shares her life with four beloved dogs, a flock of chickens she adores, and her trusted partner, Splenda, her barrel horse.

Taylor’s love for horses began at just five years old, inspired in part by the movie Spirit, which remains her favorite to this day. As a teenager, after attending a local rodeo, she discovered her passion for barrel racing. Determined to pursue it, she found a dedicated trainer (Montene) who not only taught her how to compete but also instilled a deep understanding of horsemanship.

Now, Taylor takes pride in the knowledge and skills she has developed and can’t imagine a life without horses. Whether in the arena or simply in the saddle, she finds joy in every moment spent doing what she loves most.

Ava Trimback

Equine Ambassador (Self-Appointed)

Meet Ava, our resident “Equine Ambassador” and gentle giant. As a Great Dane with a heart as big as her paws, Ava takes her job very seriously—making sure all the horses stay in line (or at least convincing us she does). While she may look like the boss of the barn, her true nature is sweet, caring, and motherly.

Ava loves everyone she meets and is always nearby, keeping a watchful eye on both humans and horses alike. Whether she’s supervising barn activities or offering quiet companionship, she’s an essential (and entertaining) part of the team.
